Randolph College Nursery School Holds Annual 1/10th-Miler Race

The Randolph College Nursery School held its annual 1/10th-Miler Friday as part of a celebration of Lynchburg's 10-Miler race. The 1/10th-miler has been a much anticipated tradition at the College's preschool for more than a decade. Students spend the week before the race preparing by exercising and learning about eating healthy.

On the day of the race, the "juniors," students in the 3 and 4-year old class, cheer on the "seniors," the 4 and 5-year old class. The seniors then race the length of the gym to the cheers of family, friends, and College students. Wanda WildCat also joined the preschoolers to celebrate. The event even drew media attention from WSET.

Students each receive a medal for their participation.
